7. What are the bid increments?
The bid increment is the amount over the current
price for which you can place the minimum bid for.
The bid increment schedule is based on current
price and is as follows:
| Current Price |
Bid Increment Amount |
| $ 0.01 - $ 499.99 |
$ 5.00 |
| $ 500.00 - $ 999.99 |
$ 10.00 |
| $ 1000.00 - $ 2499.99 |
$ 25.00 |
| $ 2500.00 - $ 4999.99 |
$ 50.00 |
| $ 5000.00 and up |
$ 100.00 |
|
8. What is automatic bidding?
Automatic bidding is Project Runway's convenient
proxy bidding system. Each time you place a bid
by entering your maximum bid amount (which is the
most you're willing to pay for an item), you will
be using our automatic bidding system. Automatic
bidding will then bid automatically, on your behalf
and at the lowest possible bid increments, until
your maximum bid amount is reached. That's all
there is to it! This pattern continues until another
bidder exceeds your maximum bid, or until you win
the auction. You will be notified by email each
time your maximum bid has been surpassed by another
bidder. If you have been outbid, you can return
to the site to place a higher maximum bid amount.
To use automatic bidding, you only need to enter
your maximum bid amount (the most you are willing
to pay) per unit when submitting a bid. If your
maximum amount is outbid, you can either place
another maximum amount or enter each subsequent
bid one at a time. Please note that you can only
increase a subsequent maximum or incremental bid.
In case of a tie for high bidder, earlier bids
will take precedence.
Your maximum bid amount (if you are a current
high bidder) will not be shown to other bidders
until after the auction closes.
The goal when using automatic bidding is to win
an item at the lowest successful price. To do so,
you must be the bidder who placed the highest maximum
bid at auction close. The lowest successful price
may not necessarily be the maximum bid amount you
submitted to win the auction, unless there was
a tie. Typically, the lowest successful price is
the next highest bidder's maximum bid amount plus
the stated bid increment. |
9. What is automatic bid
extension?
Project Runway's automatic bid extension feature
ensures that you will always have a chance to challenge
bids placed in the final seconds of an auction. When
indicated on a listing page, if a bid is placed during
the last 5 minutes of an auction, the auction will
be automatically extended for an additional 5 minutes
from the time of the latest bid. The auction will
close once all bidding activity has stopped for a
period of 5 minutes. |
10. Can I retract a bid?
Project Runway considers a confirmed bid on an item
at a price up to your maximum bid to be a legally
binding intent to purchase. Before bidding on any
item, we recommend you read the item description
carefully. If you have any questions, please email
customer service before bidding.
Once you have submitted your confirmed bid, it
can only be retracted under the following circumstances:
- You made a typographical error when placing
a bid amount.
- New item information added by the seller changed
your understanding of the item for which your
bid was placed.
- You cannot reach the seller via email, or
your question to the seller is returned as undeliverable,
or the seller responds with a request to sell
to you directly off-line.
- You have submitted your valid bid retraction
request to Project Runway not less than 12 hours
before the auction closes.
You cannot retract a bid if:
- You have placed bids on a similar item.
- You have changed your mind.
- You state that you cannot pay for the item.
- You submit a bid retraction request less than
12 hours before auction close.
|
11. What pay methods do
you accept?

Americn Express, and Discover. If you fail to checkout within 10 business days of the close of the auction, your registration credit card will automatically be charged and your item will be sent to your registration address. |
